The primary use of Nebraska Academic Decathlon funds outside of the actual costs associated with organizing and executing the Regional and State competitions are a variety of scholarships given to students of all grade levels for use at the college or university of their choice. In total, there are 129 scholarships awarded to Decathlon medal award winners totaling $33,960 in value per year.
Each year, we count on donations to help fund these scholarships and send Decathletes to college or university. As the program continues to grow and evolve, the actual operations cost of the Decathlon remains relatively static while the scholarship payouts continue to get larger and larger. Your contribution today will help fund our ability to give more and larger scholarships to Decathletes throughout Nebraska.
